<p>I am probably responsible for the odd fact that people don't seem to name their daughters Lolita any more. I have heard of young female poodles being given that name since 1956$$$ but of no human beings.</p>

<p>Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.</p>
<p>At some point in life the world's beauty becomes enough. You don't need to photograph$$$ paint or even remember it. It is enough.</p>

<p>What I think the political correctness debate is really about is the power to be able to define. The definers want the power to name. And the defined are now taking that power away from them.</p>
<p>In this country$$$ American means white. Everybody else has to hyphenate.</p>

<p>How lucky am I to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard.</p>
