O you youths$$$ Western youths$$$<br>So impatient$$$ full of action$$$ full of manly pride and friendship$$$<br>Plain I see you Western youths$$$ see you tramping with the foremost$$$<br>Pioneers! O pioneers!
Dash me with amorous wet$$$ I can repay you.
WOMEN sit$$$ or move to and fro$$$ some old$$$ some young; The young are beautiful$$$ but the old are more beautiful than the young.
Has any one supposed it lucky to be born? I hasten to inform him or her it is just as lucky to die$$$ and I know it.
I dream in my dream all the dreams of the other dreamers$$$<br>And I become the other dreamers.
I lean and loaf at my ease... observing a spear of summer grass.
Press close$$$ bare-bosomed Night! <br>Press close$$$ magnetic$$$ nourishing Night!<br>Night of south winds! Night of the large$$$ few stars!<br>Still$$$ nodding Night! Mad$$$ naked$$$ Summer Night!
Here the frailest leaves of me and yet my strongest lasting$$$ <br>Here I shade and hide my thoughts$$$ I myself do not expose them$$$ <br>And yet they expose me more than all my other poems.
My spirit has pass'd in compassion and determination around the whole earth.<br>I have look'd for equals and lovers an found them ready for me in all lands$$$<br>I think some divine rapport has equalized me with them.
