The words of a dead man <br>Are modified in the guts of the living.
A fairy tale...on the other hand$$$ demands of the reader total surrender; so long as he is in its world$$$ there must be for him no other.
Sometimes things become possible if we want them bad enough.
Be subtle$$$ various$$$ ornamental$$$ clever$$$<br>And do not listen to those critics ever<br>Whose crude provincial gullets crave in books<br>Plain cooking made still plainer by plain cooks.
No poet can know what his poem is going to be like until he has written it.
And each in the cell of himself is almost convinced of his freedom.

Soft as the earth is mankind and both need to be altered.
