In a closed society where everybody's guilty$$$ the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves$$$ the only final sin is stupidity.

Sex without love is as hollow and ridiculous as love without sex.

The happy man in this life needs friends.

You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.

If this is how you treat your friends$$$ no wonder you have so many enemies.

Boys play with death as though it were a game$$$ cutting their teeth on daggers.

Men like to think well of themselves$$$ and poets help them do it.

And whether a man dispassionately sees to the core of life or passionately sees the surface$$$ they are essentially the same.

Therefore the sage$$$ in the exercise of his government$$$ empties their minds$$$ fills their bellies$$$ weakens their wills$$$ and strengthens their bones.

To listen is an effort$$$ and just to hear is no merit. A duck hears also.
